History of the Boxer
The Boxer originated in Germany in the late 19th century and was developed from the now-extinct Bullenbeisser, a powerful hunting dog used for chasing large game such as boar and deer. By crossing these dogs with smaller breeds, including the English Bulldog, breeders created a more agile, intelligent, and versatile dog—the foundation of the modern Boxer.
